All articles are presented in pdf format which can be read using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The majority of these articles were originally written for inclusion in the St. James Community Journal, a monthly Journal providing diverse perspectives from the partners at 4614/4620 California St., where CCI is located. The St. James Community Partners include The Community Center At St. James, The Community Learning Center At St. James, The St. James Preschool, St. James Episcopal Church, and The California Counseling Institute. The articles written by CCI therapists were written sometimes on theme with others in the journal; sometimes not. Always intended was to share with the community for educational purposes the diverse perspectives and explorations observed and ventured upon by our talented therapists. Whatever we do and whatever we are, being is the foundation. The statements, "I am sad," or "I am happy," are easily understood, but what does it mean to be "I am?" Is it not true of us as well that to ourselves we are most familiar, and yet, at the same time, we remain veiled in darkness, we remain unknowable to ourselves? All of us probably see ourselves in a mirror every day, but how often do we really see who, or what, is there? More ... Books
